I took a men’s glen plaid sport coat and took the sleeves off, pulled out all the shoulder padding and stitched it up under the arms to fit a lady better. Then I cut our letters of herringbone and tattersall and glen plaid in colors that were similar to the suit. I wanted the words to be subtle, not hit you in the face contrasting. I used words from Galatians 5:22-23 about the fruits of the Spirit. Plus I added a couple positive words of my own. Left raw edges on the letters, but the are fused underneath and stitched on so the will not ravel much at all. Dry clean.

Vest is 31” long, 40” in circumference under the arm and 13 1/2” wide across the shoulder.

Wear this with jeans or black dressy pants. It is roomy enough for a chunky sweater underneath because the arm holes are deep.
